Practice makes perfect

One of the oldest clichés in the English language has to be the saying that says practice makes perfect. One of the jokes I liked making when I learnt the meaning of the word cliché is that the word came about because of the saying ‘practice makes perfect’. In other words, I felt that the saying is older than even the word cliché. That aside, the fact that the statement is a cliché doesn’t in any way mean it doesn’t have significance. In fact, if there is a saying that has stood the test of time then I am inclined to say it is the one. This is for the simple reason that the saying is applicable in all spheres of life; business, academics and so on.

In a school setting, it is paramount that students learn that they need to get used to doing things which will be beneficial to their academic pursuits. Once a student gets used to doing things which are helpful to him or her-even if it means occasional visits to http://www.superiorpapers.net/ in order to learn important research skills-then it will go a long way in helping him or her in life. On the contrary, if students get used to things that don’t build them up they will be perfect in that and you know as well as I do that this is not a good thing for all and sundry involved.
